The symbolism of pairs of guardian lions, embodying the yin and yang principles (with the female representing yin and the male yang), endures as a common decorative motif. Often found flanking entrances to establishments like restaurants, hotels, and supermarkets, these guardian lions serve both aesthetic and symbolic functions.
